Position Title: Investigative Auditor
Definition of Work: The Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is the agency of the Missouri Supreme Court responsible for investigating alleged lawyer misconduct and prosecuting the cases where such misconduct poses a threat to the public or to the integrity of the legal profession. The investigative auditor works with staff counsel to conduct audits and to examine evidence that an attorney may have violated the Rules of Professional Conduct related to the handling of client funds.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of auditing techniques and practices.
- Critical and analytic skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Office Programs, including Excel.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 earned credit hours in accounting or finance.
- Three years’ experience with financial investigations or audits OR seven years’ experience with daily investigative paralegal responsibilities.
